In the early 1960s there was still plenty of steam action on the Western Region using former Great Western Railway (GWR) steam locomotives. Castle class locomotives mixed with Granges, Halls and pannier tanks, all products of the famous Swindon Works.
Featured locations include Malvern, Pershore and Worcester. The branches to Shipston-on-Stour and Bromyard are visited.
A few ex-LMS locomotive types can be seen plus, unusually for the Worcestershire area, an ex-LNER class A1 4-6-2.
