The Weatherfield Collection of Clocks.
The private collector, David Arthur Weatherfield, brought together a remarkable collection of purely English designs of domestic clocks, including bracket clocks, lantern clocks and grandfather clocks. So distinguished a collection was it that three books were written on the subject.
Most of the original plates and pictures for two of the books have been used by the author to redate the clocks using the most recent evidence. He has now produced a unique pictorial chronological record to help dealers and collectors to date English clocks by their case styles.
